My garbage disposer is leaking when I turn it on...
- Tighten the screws on the drain gasket.
- Secure rings screws and bolts. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the connection.
- Check the housing gasket for holes or shredding.
- NEVER PUT YOUR HAND IN THE DISPOSAL! Always use a pliers or tongs! Many injuries including hand and finger amputations are caused by disposals every year.

- Is there power going to the disposer? Check for a blown fuse or a tripped circuit breaker.
- Do you hear the motor of the unit?
- Make sure there aren’t any large objects obstructing the blades of the unit.
