My washer will not stop filling or the water overflows...

Inspect the water supply hoses for kinks. Turn off the faucets, disconnect and straighten the hoses. Replace hoses if they are damaged.
Clean or replaced clogged filter screens.
Check for a faulty timer, water level switch or water inlet valve.
