1. My washer fills up with water and just stops. None of the washer cycles are working.
2. My washing machine is not draining and I have clothes still in it.
3. My washing machine just completed the cycle without draining all the water and my clothes are still soaking wet!
Let's try to help you find and solve these common problems.
1. My washer fills up with water and just stops. None of the washer cycles are working.
Check the timer assembly
If the washer suddenly starts when the timer dial is pushed to the off position or when you slowly turn the washer timer dial clockwise and the washer starts a cycle, the timer assembly is defective and has to be replaced.
2. My washing machine is not draining and I have clothes still in it.
Check the self-cleaning filter, filter trap restriction, water pump or the washer drive belt.
To find the cause of the problem, remove the washer drain hose from the drain and check for a kinked hose and start the washer. If the water drains, the problem is solved. If a small amount of water or no water at all is being pumped out of the washer, the problem may be the self-cleaning filter, timer assembly, a filter trap restriction or a faulty water pump.
3. My washing machine just completed the cycle without draining all the water and my clothes are still soaking wet!
Check the timer assembly, washer drive motor capacitor, motor windings or start switch, or washer drive belt
Possible causes include faulty timer assembly, drive motor or washer drive belt. These will require a volt-ohmmeter and we suggest calling a professional.
